Sweet indeed! It's interesting that four members of the SolarCity of Gainesville have been checking this company out, almost independent from each other! These will be a truly sustainable transport for the future. I've had my eye on these people for awhile, so has Bob McPeek (of SCG). When I first came across it, the founder had put forth an interesting story. He said he'd bought a small airplane kit and when his wife saw it in the garage she said, "there's no way you're going up in that thing" and he decided, well, I'll make a car out of it instead and here we are. Funny how things can turn out.

I'd like to see a local distributor of such. Even better, an east coast manf. plant for Aptera. We certainly have all the skilled composite workers here in the state one could want with all the pleasure and sailing boat manf. industries here in Florida. Hunter Marine and Monterey Boats come to mind locally. Speaking of, how about a propeller and some pontoons on that thing (just kidding)? I do wish the hybrid engine was diesel though instead of gasoline. Then it could be run on biodiesel. I wonder (even though I'm not a fan of ethanol as is) if it can go the flex fuel route? I want one too!
